A: If your current hosting provider can no longer measure up to the necessities of your website, or if you undergo regular network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the customer care staff to reply to you, it might be a clever idea to switch your hosting provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your sites together with your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At IO Hosting Solutions, we realize that this can often be hard & time–consuming. That’s the reason why we’ll perform all that for you at no cost!Our highly professional technical staff reps will migrate your website content from your present web hosting provider to us. Our techs have got broad experience with website migration and can take care of everything – from a typical WordPress–based blog or Joomla^™ CMS–driven web site, to a very elaborate, custom–built web app.

A: While we cannot give you a precise time interval, since there are a lot of variables, including the size of the web files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will try our very best to migrate your site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (if the content is not very large).

A: We don’t gather any sensitive details. We’ll need, however, the login information for your old hosting account as well as the name of the site that you would like to migrate.

A: In order for us to start the migration of your hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose pretty much the same details you have provided to your present hosting provider. We’ve also got an extremely rigid Privacy Policy, which describes how personal info is handled.

A: While we move your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous web hosting provider. When the migration is completed, we will make sure that everything is working properly and that the integrity of your web content is not compromised prior to telling you that the transfer is completed. After that, we’ll instruct you how to transfer the domain over to your hosting account with us and how to edit your DNS settings.

A: Nah. We’ll never get in touch with your web hosting provider about anything at all. They won’t be aware of the website transfer either.

A: Yeah. We support all common Linux–driven hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–driven hosting platforms, because we do not provide Windows web hosting services ourselves.Furthermore, we do not support proprietary web site creation and management interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
